GBTA - DFW Chapter Board of Directors-Election

Refuse to be Ordinary, be Extraordinary, and run for the GBTA-DFW Chapter Board of Directors.

Term is 2 Years: January 1, 2019-December 31, 2020

 

Positions Available: 

  •      President – Must be a GBTA member
  •      Vice President
  •      Treasurer
  •      Secretary
  •      Direct Representative – must be a direct member
  •      Allied Representative – must be an allied member

Prerequisites for running:

  • Must be a member in good standing and dues paid
  • Must be nominated by a chapter member in writing (email is fine)
  • Must have a meeting with the current board member in which one is running or the president.
  1. i.e. if running for President you must meet with the current president. 
  2. If nominee is more comfortable or prefers to meet with the president instead of the current board member that is fine.
  3. If running for the same position, this is not required.
  4. his is to understand the role, responsibilities, time commitment, expectations, etc and answer any questions.
  •  Must be employed in the travel industry in the DFW metroplex
  •  Must have support from your company.

 Timeline: 

    • Name submissions due August 20, 2018 to the Nomination Committee at info@dfw-bta.org

    • Platforms and Pictures due no later than September 4, 2018 to info@dfw-bta.org 
    • September 13th is an “open” board meeting
    • Election held October 16 - November 1, 2018
    • New board to be announced Friday, November 2, 2018
